Shihan Eric Mercado

Shihan (Master) Eric Mercado is a Japan-certified Kyokushin instructor with over 40 years of martial arts experience. Currently serving as the United States Chairman & Chief Instructor for the Kyokushin World Association, he brings a wealth of tradition, discipline, and championship coaching to Performance Arizona. Before moving to Arizona, he ran successful schools in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania; many of his students have competed at regional and national levels.

No prior experience is needed. Our classes accommodate all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned martial artists.

What should I bring to my first class?

Please bring comfortable workout gear, and a water bottle. We provide gear for first-timers.
